#3 Reason to Start Writing Songs: RELAXATION
Since songwriting gives you endless inspiration, it is a creative way to relieve stress. Writing songs have proven to be a powerful way for me to let go a bunch of energy and issues in my life that were weighing me down. Sometimes we go through life so wound up and full of tension. Writing out a song that mirrors your inner states is a powerful way to unload and experience lightness and ultimately more peace.

See you tomorrow for the #2 Reason to Start Writing Songs!

#4 Reason to Start Writing Songs: Inspiration

When you start writing songs, you will start to find inspiration in anything. Something you see outside, conversations in passing, an object in your home will unexpectedly give you your next song idea. Songwriting gives you an outlet to express anything in a creative way. Countless songs have been written and inspired things in life. Take Stevie Wonder's Isn't She Lovely. This has become a popular love song at weddings, but the inspiration behind this song was about the birth of Stevie's daughter. Inspiration is the fuel for songwriting and your life has is so rich in inspiration!

Blessings,

Kandice

I created Songwriter's Circle 1.0 because I truly believe that songwriting is a kind of creative expression anyone can experience. I believe we all have a song inside of us that deserves to be written down.

It doesn't always have to be about making money or turning it into something more. Sometimes you do stuff to simply just to try it out. I have found the some folks who are interested in the Songwriting Circle are hesitant because they don't have singing experience or songwriting experience.

To encourage and enlighten, I am sharing the TOP 5 Reasons to start Songwriting (a.k.a. 5 reasons why you will love Songwriter's Circle 1.0). I will share one reason every day this week! Here Goes!

#5 Reason to Start Writing Songs: PERSPECTIVE

Songwriting allows you to look at the world in unique and beautiful ways. It allows you to share a point of view that folks don’t see from their own view. Writing songs opens your eyes to more than one way to see an object, a topic, or theme. Look at the word love and how that has been interpreted through song in so many ways. From heartfelt ballads about how wonderful love is to heart wrenching songs on heartbreak, songs can give you infinite views of something. Having perspective in essence allows us to see the world in a myriad of ways and helps expands us as human beings.

Stay tuned for #4 Tomorrow!!

Blessings,

Kandice

"Remembering that you are going to die is the best way I know to avoid the trap of thinking you have something to lose. You are already naked. There is no reason not to follow your heart."-Steve Jobs

There is something powerful about making your dreams and aspirations public. There is power behind it, an intention that is strong. That is why I am choosing to publicly blog about my 12 month Level Up Challenge.

What does it mean to Level Up? It means to get ready for the next level you want to go NOW. Acting, thinking, working like a millionaire when you are only making 5 figures. Producing quality award winning work before you get nominated for the Grammy.

That is what I am doing. For the last 30 days, I have taken the Morning Whip (If you are for real about your business you MUST take this class. MUST!). During this time I went from a scared, confused, half-hearted entrepreneur to a confident, clear , excited business bombshell. Now I am not saying I have it all figured out. I don't. What I do know is that I have a focus and passion that I didn't have 30 days ago. It was in there and coming out bit by bit.

I am Leveling Up to realize my dream of creative entrepreneur-ship. There are not overnight successes. Rather people hustle and grind unbeknownst to many of us and then boom it is there time in the limelight.

This is my dream: to be a sought after, award winning songwriter making music that heals the world. I would like to make premium original songs for creative entrepreneurs and online programs that are adding more love and creativity into the world.

For the next 12 months, I am going to blog openly and candidly 2x per month about Leveling Up. I intend to fulfill everything on that list. I also intend to check in with that list monthly and make changes that feel right. But I will not be avoiding anything, that is why it's a challenge.

I hope that this inspires you to start taking your dreams more seriously and figuring out a way to make it happen.
12 Month Level Up Goals. By October 5, 2013 I will LEVEL UP by:
  • Get my website revamped by a web designer
  • Professional Headshots
  • Voice Lessons 2x per month
  • Attend 2 events in Nashville with NSAI
  • Find a wonderful virtual assistant
  • Build an amazing finance and legal team
  • Attend business networking events
  • Sign up for HUSTLE   next spring
  • Hang out with people who build me up and inspire me
  • Develop self-care routine (Working out Consistently, eating lots of good foods, pampering, etc.)
  • Learn to see rejection as a powerful learning opportunity and time for growth
  • Form LLC

Here's to dreams coming true.

Blessings,

Kandice
